You arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and are met by a representative who transfers you to accommodation in the Arusha area. The rest of the day is free for rest and settling in. This arrival serves as a gentle start before the excitement of your Tanzania Safari begins.
After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park. Here, you explore open savannah and baobab-dotted plains in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other savannah-dwelling species. The Tarangire River, a vital water source in dry periods, often attracts large wildlife gatherings — giving you a solid chance to observe a variety of species within their natural environment. Lunch is provided during the drive, and your afternoon continues with further game-driving before returning for the night.
The next day you head to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its lush forested slopes, groundwater streams, and the alkaline lakeshore that attracts flocks of flamingos and abundant bird species. As you traverse forest patches, floodplains, and lakeside terrain, look out for both forest and savannah animals along with rich birdlife; if conditions are right, flamingos may line the lake’s edge in shimmering numbers. A midday stop at natural hot springs allows for a boxed lunch before continuing your safari through different ecological zones late into the afternoon. This day offers a refreshing change of habitat and a vivid taste of Tanzania’s ecological diversity.
Early in the morning you depart toward the Ngorongoro highlands and descend into the crater shortly after sunrise, arriving around 7:00 AM — a strategic time for wildlife activity. The crater floor’s blend of lakes, marshes, open grasslands and woodlands supports an unusually high concentration of wild animals. During your game drive you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, lions and, for the luckiest travellers — possibly even the elusive rhino. Lunch is taken lakeside or near a water source, followed by more wildlife viewing or the beginning of your drive back toward Arusha, depending on timing and preference. This day provides one of the richest wildlife experiences any Tanzania Safari can offer.
On the final morning you check out and are transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your Tanzania Globe Tour. The memories of Tarangire’s savannah, Lake Manyara’s birdlife, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater stay with you long after you leave.
