6 Days Safari Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
Location
Duration
Explore Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs, spot flamingos and...
On the first day, you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and are met by a representative who transfers you to accommodation near Arusha. This initial day serves to settle in, rest after your flight, and meet your safari guide — a calm start to your Tanzania Safari, setting the stage for the wildlife adventure ahead.
Your second day begins around 7:30 AM with breakfast. Your guide meets you afterward and you travel to Arusha National Park where your first safari experience starts. You embark on a 1.5-hour walking safari toward a scenic waterfall, walking through forested slopes and plains where zebras, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, and monkeys may appear nearby. After the walk and some rest near the waterfall, you return to the vehicle and continue with a game-drive in the park. During the drive, you may visit the area of the lakes, where water birds and, seasonally, flocks of flamingos gather. After lunch and additional exploration of the park, you return to accommodation for the night. This walking-plus-game-drive day offers an intimate and diverse look at Tanzanian wildlife and landscapes.
On the third day, you head to Tarangire National Park for a full game-drive safari. Tarangire is known for huge elephant herds, savannah landscapes dotted with baobab trees, and a variety of wildlife drawn to the Tarangire River. As you explore, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and other savannah species. Predators such as lions may also be encountered, especially near watering points. After a full day of wildlife watching, you return for overnight accommodation.
On the final safari day, you depart early in order to maximise wildlife sightings during morning hours. You travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Inside the crater you enjoy a game-drive across a rich mosaic of lakes, marshes, grasslands and woodlands. The crater’s wildlife density is among the highest on Earth, and you may see elephants, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, various antelopes, and predators. With luck you might glimpse rarer species too. Around midday you have lunch (often boxed) by a lake or water source. After more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, you drive back to Arusha for your final night before departure.
On the final day, you check out and are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your Impala Safari, wrapping up a compact but fulfilling Tanzania Safari experience — combining forest walk, savannah game-drives, and crater wildlife in one short tour.
